I heart Jim

So, I am getting very excited for the office return this thursday… and well, I just had to once again blog about it.  I got even more excited following the marathon of office episodes they had hosted by John Krasinski, this past thursday.  I was missing him,  I almost forgot what he looked like after the frickin writers strike placed that wedge between us for those oh-so-very long months.

All I have to say is they better bring on the romance this season between Jim and Pam, before the flame that was Jim and Jana goes out completely.  Don’t make me start using my sticky notes NBC,  I’ll let Carmen get a hold of them, don’t think I wont.

Guilty Pleasures

• French bread ( I used to only ever buy 100% whole wheat bread, but I have gone over to the dark side…’er light side…I guess.)
• Snapea crisps… Actually I don’t feel guilty about these… they are just addicting. Although when I made my husband try one, his exact words were “I don’t want no pea flavored Cheeto!” which made me giggle. (I got them at trader joe’s if anyone is brave enough to try them.)

And Last but certainly not least… this guilty pleasure has kept me from blogging for the past week

• The Twilight series.

I know it is totally high school, and I should feel more guilty about loving it so much… but it’s so freaking addicting. Wendy even promised herself she would not blog about it since it is on just about every blog you click on, but I know she loves it as much as I do. And Chantel already blogged about how much she loves Edward. I am indebted to her now because with out her talking it up so much, I don’t think I ever would have bought into a book about Vampires being good. But it is. So, if there is a soul left on the planet who hasn’t already read it, pick it up ladies…It will make you swoon like a love sick teenager.

My dream guy and other musings

I am so stoked that it is thursday and the office is back on tv.  I especially know I am excited because I am having dreams about Jim again…That must mean the season is in full swing.  And in my dream, yes, me and Pam are pretty much interchangeable.

I finally have my Halloween decorations out, thanks to Tami for reminding me that it is in fact October and time to start gearing up for the holidays.  This should be a fun season because Carmen is finally getting old enough to understand what the heck is going on.  I do still have to find her a costume though.  I have a dinosaur costume that is a tiny bit big for her.  I tried it on her today and it was just about the funniest, cutest thing I’ve ever seen, except for the part where she threw a humongous fit until I took it off of her.  So I think I am going to have to find her something a little less restrictive.

With my morning sickness zapping the energy out of me, I have only now started to realize that Carmen’s life is getting extremely boring.  I need to get that kid out of the house.  I keep reading everyone’s blog posts about going to Disney land, the zoo, and the beach I am starting to feel a little bad that I hardly ever take Carmen to do anything fun.  Her one weekly trip to the pool is about the extent of it.  So, I need to get my butt in gear and start making her life a little bit more exciting.  If only…I…could…get…off…the couch.  One of these days I am going to do it.  I am also a little sad I don’t have the energy to cook anymore.  I keep hearing about everyone making these warm soup and cornbread meals for the fall and I am jealous.  Only it would take way too much energy to actually make any of these myself.  So I will just live vicariously through the pictures and recipes  I read about on blogs.

Sorry for this random post I just felt bloggy and had nothing else to blog about at the moment.

Finally! Together at last! I am in love!

A tiny office update…

If you have been missing the office over the summer like me, here is a little snippet to get you through the next month. I know it made me psyched about this upcoming season.

I’m in a glass case of emotion…

In the words of Ron Burgundy.  A glass case of emotion…Yeah that is how I felt last night after watching my two favorite show’s season finales.  The office was great, although it definitely didn’t seem like your typical office episode.  Maybe because I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen between Jim and Pam.  Maybe when I watch it again I can enjoy the funny more this time without the suspense. And things look hopeful at least.  I cheered for Pam at the end! Although there wasn’t any smooching, it will have to do.  I can’t wait for next season. The whole summer with no new episodes…ughhhh.  Anyway vote on Jim’s new haircut, thumbs……Down!  He never looked homeless Karen.  Bring back the tousle!

And as for grey’s finale  I personally think that show has gone down hill big time in the past few episodes, and this week was one of the worst of them all.  It was like “lets break everyone up and leave everyone miserable…yeah sounds like a great finale”…Syke! Do you like my gratuitous use of the word syke (look, there aren’t that many instances when I get to use it, so I do what I can OK?)  Two season finales on the same night is way too much drama for me all at once.

Anyway I don’t know if Grey’s anatomy was just bad or if I was so disappointed because right as the show was ending I noticed a mistake about 7 rows back in my knitting, and when I tried to go back and fix it I only made it worse, and it I had just finished the first stage of my cardigan.  So that was pretty depressing too.  I fixed it good enough, so it’s fine. (Thank goodness for crochet hooks!)

And speaking of knitting, Me and Lauren went to Hancock’s fabric store yesterday.  All the southern California locations are going out of business, so I got all of this loot for just 12 bucks. 

The place was pretty picked over but the stuff that was there was all 60% to 70% off.  So if you need to stock up I would head over soon while the gettin’ is good.  Sadly the yarn stash was almost all gone, pretty much all that was left was fun fur (ugh… fun fur *shudder*)  and a few other novelty yarns. But I did find one cashmere/merino blend so it was worth it.

Crafty

Here is the super cute bib that I finished sewing today. Lauren gave me the fabric and the pattern (so pretty much the whole thing) I just sewed it up. Thanks again Lauren, I love it!

And since I am a tomater nerd… Here is another picture of my green tomatoes. (and Wendy if you want any of these when they turn red, you’d sure better start being nice to me) :)

I don’t know what is so fascinating to me about seeing my garden grow…But it is just so cool to plant something tiny and watch it turn into something you can actually eat. It blows my mind.

P.S. Two more days until go time.

I don’t know if I really want Thursday to actually come though because then I have to go through Jim withdrawals until next season.

Yay Pammy…but don’t call her Pammy

Pam finally stood up last night and told Jim how she felt on The office.
All I can say is it’s about freakin’ time! I have been waiting for something to happen for so long. Now all I can do is pray that Jim actually does something back. I know I am getting my hopes up and everything but if they can at least kiss I think maybe it can get me through another season. I was able to make it 10 seasons for Ross and Rachel, but I wasn’t in love with Ross the way I am with Jim.

I heard they might be making the office an hour long, I would love that, 30 minutes(or 22) is just not enough.

I love this show and I just had to do a post to commemorate the return of my boyfriend to Thursday night. It was a good one…although Andy is back from anger management.
