Happy Holidays

Filed under: family — Jana @ 11:06 pm

So Thanksgiving was a success. I pretty much made the whole meal ( with a lot of my moms help), and It turned out really good. I am now a thanksgiving veteran…This is the third one I have done at my house since…Well, since I became a grown-up:).

But any way it was really fun to have my mom and brother and sister in town. We did a lot of shopping. It’s funny because hanging out with my younger and unmarried siblings makes me remember what life was like before kids. I didn’t realize how structured my life has become since I had Carmen. Now when I go shopping I just scan the store quickly, find what I am looking for and get the heck out while Carmen is still in good spirits. Not my sister though, oh no, she likes to browse the whole store, and one by one, try on every hat in the store just to find the perfect snowboarding beanie. Now I love my sister, but I just can’t do that anymore. I live my life according to the nap schedule of an infant. We are on a time crunch here people! And it is also funny how before you have kids you are totally grossed out by drool, or anything else that comes out of a baby. I have just become immune to gross now I guess. I saw this cartoon and It made me smile.

  1. I’m impressed that you have done T-dinner 3 times. I’ve only done it once, and I vowed never to do it again. You are my hero!
