I finally finished knitting the blanket for my sister’s Christmas gift 2 days ago!

It was a lot smaller that I thought it would be when I got it off the needles, not that it’s not a big blanket, it’s just when it’s all scrunched up it just seemed longer (it’s a little over 5’x5′). I would have posted the pics of it yesterday but I came down with a really bad cold that put me out of commission for the day. I got so achy that even the stubble on my legs hurt. But I have an angel for a husband who (luckily enough was able to go to work late that morning) took care of Carmen for an hour so I could sleep a little longer. Then he got home from work a little early and took Carmen to look for houses so I could take a nice long nap. Then (get this) He came home with dinner from KFC and then did a load of laundry. I really don’t give him enough credit. He is an amazing husband and a hard worker. And he takes care of me when it really counts! I am so lucky.
I also knitted a fluffy scarf for my friend in Utah. (as modeled by Carmen)Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It is really long, but I guess it’s better to be too long than too short. I still have a lot to learn about knitting, but I am doing my best.

  1. Hey Jana, that looks really good! Sorry to hera about your cold, but I’m glad your husband pampered you. You deserve it.

  2. Sheesh, lady! You are a knitting machine.

Go, Lee! I’m glad he was so good to you, colds are no fun.
