The list

Here are 100 things you never knew you even wanted to know about me:

  1. I got my braces on the day I graduated from high school.
  2. I am an introvert and very shy.
  3. I have to be doing something with my hands or I will destroy my own face and/or fingernails. Which leads me to number 4…
  4. I love knitting, it has changed my life (thanks again Eve)
  5. I feel like I am a good mom.
  6. I am constantly worried that I am not doing it all right.
  7. The only thing I like about being pregnant is how much you get to eat.
  8. But actually I think I look cute with a pregnant belly until about the 8th month …then it is just a ridiculous circus show.
  9. I am not a phone person…at all.
  10. Drawing is actually my first love, and I don’t do it nearly enough.
  11. Every day I think about how lucky I am.
  12. I think I am a spiritual person.
  13. I wish I was motivated to be more involved in the church though. I will try to be better.
  14. I actually like my body more now then before I had a baby. Not because it is in better shape by any means, just more… womanly I guess.
  15. I hate getting ready for the day.
  16. Although…I hate leaving the house if I don’t feel completely put together.
  17. I love fast food…this week’s obsession shrimp tacos from del taco.
  18. I can’t wait to have a house full of kids to bake for…Lee doesn’t eat enough to bake for just us.
  19. I love stargazer lilies.
  20. I desperately want to like sports for my husband, but I just don’t.
  21. I hate doing dishes.
  22. I love Lake Powell.
  23. Buying our house is like having all my dreams come true.
  24. I like cloudy days.
  25. My idea of a vacation is laying on a beach tanning.
  26. I love flea markets.
  27. I collect refrigerator magnets from all the different cities I visit.
  28. I love northern California. (southern too though)
  29. I knew I would marry Lee as soon as we started dating.
  30. I will never get a divorce.
  31. I hate for my feet to be hot.
  32. I love the feeling of completing a project, it feels like winning.
  33. I love the office…Jim is my celebrity crush. (Jimmy Fallon too)
  34. I am a horrible liar…I can’t even play liar’s dice.
  35. I am very easily distracted.
  36. I never feel like my house is perfectly clean.
  37. I am kind of a control freak…I am working on that.
  38. My favorite holiday is thanksgiving, ’cause it’s all about eating of course.
  39. I could eat shrimp every day.
  40. I love playing board and card games.
  41. I love reading children’s books.
  42. I used to be a lifeguard.
  43. I also used to be a sandwich artist, And yes I do believe there is such a thing.
  44. My favorite color is brown.
  45. I love my stuff to be deconstructed looking: Jeans, wood furniture, Etc. I don’t like it if its not a little distressed.
  46. In a way I miss the old Barbies that used to be really unrealistically proportioned, It was a fantasy thing when you were a little girl…
  47. I miss the pretty girls in the old Disney movies too.
  48. I guess that makes me not much of a feminist.
  49. I am old fashioned. Being bare foot and pregnant doesn’t bother me.
  50. I don’t know what I am trying to say besides that I think the Country is a little too easily offended.
  51. It is my New Year’s resolution to start cooking every day during the week. (after we get settled of course).
  52. I have a very big sweet tooth.
  53. When I was a kid I always wanted to be an airline stewardess. (then I grew up And realized 1. I hate to fly, and 2. I don’t want to be a waitress in the sky)
  54. I was an honor roll student in high school.
  55. In college, not so much.
  56. My parents got divorced when I was 18.
  57. I love being a stay at home mom.
  58. I can remember the words to songs very well. Once I really hear a song It stays with me forever.
  59. My husband doesn’t know the words to any songs.
  60. I am horrible at driving directions.
  61. My husband is amazing at driving directions.
  62. I am not good with names at all.
  63. I have pretty good rhythm, for a white girl.
  64. I don’t like going anywhere that I can’t bring Carmen
  65. I love to wear a brand new outfit, it just feels so good.
  66. Being at home is my favorite place to be.
  67. I am not a very touchy person, I don’t mind people touching me, but in general I need my space.
  68. I don’t really like complete silence, I have to have the TV or radio on if only for the noise, and I sleep much better with a fan.
  69. I love to buy smelly lotions and soaps, but I hardly ever finish one before I buy a different one to replace it.(there are too many I want to try)
  70. I am scared that I will pass on my bad traits to my kids.
  71. I am excited to pass on my good traits to my kids.
  72. I love plucking my eyebrows and do it almost every day.
  73. I would rather be too hot than too cold.
  74. My favorite movie is 50 First Dates.
  75. The most fascinating thing to me is watching Carmen’s development. They turn into little amazing people right before your eyes.
  76. I alway’s wished my parents would have put me into dancing as a child.
  77. I think I would have made a good dancer.
  78. I am so freaked out of thinking about Carmen leaving for college, and she’s not even in preschool yet.
  79. I am sure I will cry when she goes to kindergarten too.
  80. I love sepia tone pictures and have no Idea how to take good ones. (I hope Wendy can teach me)
  81. I don’t ever wear shoes with laces (well…hardly…if I can help it)
  82. I think Carmen is going to be the same way because she hates shoes now too.
  83. I love sales, and I am a bargain shopper.
  84. My favorite ice cream is chocolate peanut butter Hagen dais.
  85. My favorite candy is Caramel.
  86. I think I was a nerd in high school.
  87. I like being a wall flower.
  88. I hate being the center of attention.
  89. Which of course means I hate speaking in public.
  90. My husband on the other hand is amazing at speaking in public, and I think, could be a motivational speaker.
  91. I am the oldest of 3 kids, and have always felt pressure to be a good example.
  92. I think I tried to be too serious as a child.
  93. I felt responsible for looking out for everything, i.e. I would only order water instead of soda at restaurants to save my parents money. (my mom laughs at this, and feels kinda bad about it too)
  94. I like blogging, it is a cool way to get to know people. (thanks Chantel for giving me the idea)
  95. I am a little scared to post this list.
  96. I love the Internet, it is a small solution to my phone phobia.
  97. I love creating.
  98. I love making things more beautiful.
  99. I consider my real friends to be family.
  100. I think family is the most important thing in the world.

OK that was really hard to think of that many things. Thanks Debbie for always letting me steal your blog ideas.

  7. Jana – I loved your list. Truthfully, I got all emotional. Probably because I used to know everything about you….now, I never get to see you and hardly hear from you. I know – you hate to talk on the phone. It is crazy how much we have in common, even more now. I just miss you and hope all is well. Thanks for sharing your blog with me. It is very personal and it is good to hear how great things are going for you. I do resent the nerd in High school part, given, I was one of your best friends. I never thought I was a nerd, but maybe you are right!
