Oh I wish they all could be California boys

Filed under: carmen — Jana @ 9:50 am

Lee’s cousin Eric decided to road trip down here with his girlfriend Darcy. So we decided to show them a good time, by letting them expirience a trip to the beach with children. Lets just say it is a lot more involved and a lot more sandy. However I still think we all had a great time. The guys played frisbee and surfed. And the adults even had fun making sand castles with the kids. We ate good snacks, and after a little while the sun came out and it was a beautiful day!

We even saw a mermaid:

It’s not too often for me to feel like I had a weekend, but this time I did and it was nice.

Thanks Chantel for the pictures.

PS…How do you sunscreen a sandy toddler? Don’t ask me.

  2. Eric was in town? I wish we had known. Clint would have loved to see him. Did you like his girlfriend? Josh told us he was dating someone, I would love to meet her. Sound like you guys had a great time. I think we’re off to the beach this weekend, I can’t wait. And, yes, it is impossible to put sunscreen on a sandy baby, you may get some on before the beach, but applying after that just doesn’t work.

  3. That WAS a terrific day. We’ll have to do many more just like it! (With maybe 10 degrees warmer!)

  5. You are always so speedy with your comments on my blog. I love it! Thanks! Sounds like a great day on the beach. I’ve always really liked Eric. The picture of Carmen is the best! I think all moms can relate. A good sand facial does wonders for that toddler skin…right?!

  7. So, it has been 70+ degrees in Utah, but there is nothing like the beach. I envy you and wish that my parents had moved to Utah long ago. Now, it would seem so hard to move and be away from family.
