Just can’t leave well enough alone…

Filed under: carmen — Jana @ 8:34 am

Why do I do the things that I do?

I was looking at Carmen this morning and said “She is looking so cute, her hair is getting shaggy like a little surfer”.

Now you would think that would be an indication that I liked her hair and did not want to change it.

Well it lead me to thinking “maybe I should just give her a little trim… even it up, plus it’s always in her eyes.”

So I did, and I swear I only cut off a tiny bit, but man did that tiny bit make her bangs seem so much shorter, and not what I was intending. I am intending on growing her hair out in a very natural looking style. Lets just hope my hungry fingers can keep a lid on their urge to snip.

Luckily Carmen could look cute in anything…and hair does grow back. I know it doesn’t look that different. But Lee called it a mullet and now I am so sad…

  1. I don’t think any type of haircut or outfit could hide the fact that Carmen is absolutely beautiful! She could definately be a model baby…or toddler now, I guess. I hope and pray that my kids will be as cute! LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!

  3. Her hair doesn’t look bad at all, I don’t think I would have noticed that you cut it. But we cut Dax’s hair this week and too had a misshap, but I will blog about it.

  4. Oh it looks cute! Totally NOT a mullet. But Jana, maybe you should glue your knitting to your hands so you don’t get too carried away…

  7. You’re right, Carmen would look great in anything or with any haircut. That isn’t too bad though. I think my mom had the same syndrome when we were kids. She is a perfectionist and would just keep going with the scissors. Before we knew it, we would have hardly any bangs. She couldn’t leave it alone from there though. She had to curl our bangs and make it 10 times worse. Needless to say, there are many pictures that I never want anyone to see!

  8. I personally think that Carmen looks adorable. It is hard to make a toddler’s hair that is growing in different directions that is thin and fly away look normal. You have done a great job…and I agree with Reese, she could never look bad in anything.
