stitch markers

Filed under: knitting, projects — Jana @ 12:14 pm

I am about to start my next and most challenging project so far ( knitting a sweater), but before I did that I wanted to make it a little more special and treat myself with some fancy stitch markers. So I made these…Picture 263
And I demonstrated what they do (for all of you non-knitters) here on my orange boucle blanket…only because it’s the only project I have on the needles right now…I don’t know if this project will ever get off the needles (it’s not my favorite).

These just make it easier to count your stitches. I got the idea to make these simple stitch markers from wormspit.com When I was reading the tutorial about them I was very surprised to find out the person who came up with these is a dude… a dude who knits.

I think that is pretty rare.

  1. that is so funny that a man made these. i could never picture any of our husbands knitting, ha ha.

  2. I need some of those. I just started a knitting project yesterday, a baby blanket. I swear it took me forever to start because I had to keep counting the stitch, it was such a pain. I bet those come in very handy.

  4. A dude on the starting line for the Boise State Football team knits. He attributes his patience as a running back to knitting. I’ve seen some of his beanies…he’s good.

  5. Those stitch markers are so cute. I think they’d be cute hanging off of alot of things…I love the copper and beads.
