What a day.

Filed under: random — Jana @ 4:06 pm

I had to take Carmen to the doctor again to day to get her iron checked (and yes it’s still low…what’s up with that?) But before I left I was updating my mp3 player on my phone and it got all screwed up…I hate itunes! I couldn’t figure it out, so I couldn’t unplug it and I was already running late, so I just left without my phone. On the way over there a black plastic bag flew out of a guy’s truck and got stuck up underneith my car. I pulled over to get it out but when I looked under the car I couldn’t see it so I just kept going (I was even later now). I could still hear it under there, but figured I would wait until I got to the doctors office to check again. I get to the parking lot, can’t find a space big enough (and getting later still) I say forget the freaking bag, park in a spot at a building next door, high tail it with Carmen back over to the doctors. They poke her finger then put a tiny band-aid on it and tell me “now don’t let her pull it off or it will bleed all over her”. Umm Yeah, tell a one year old not to pull off something stuck to her finger, that’s like saying “don’t look, I’m naked”… what’s the first thing anyone is going to do? Anyway… tangent… sorry. So I finally get Carmen and her bloody stump back to the car and remember THE STUPID BAG! So I had to literally lay on the street and crawl myself under the car and unwrap this blasted bag from the axle (or some part down there that I have no idea what it’s called) while worrying that some one is going to run over my legs that are sticking out from under the car. At least I can pride myself on not being that high maintenance. I take care of business.

Whew… OK rant over…I feel much better.

  1. Oh my gosh, the “don’t look, I’m naked” comment has me rolling. I hope Greg doesn’t read this post, he will get on me even more about running over plastic bags!

  3. :) Wow. Sounds like a day I don’t want to have…though I have experianced someone “looking” at an inopportune moment. How embarrasing!

  4. Hummmm…I feel out of the loop with all these stories about motherhood. Someday, I too will share in the madness, but for now, I’ll relish my ability to sleep in.

  5. I can see my daughter, under the car, ‘takin care o’ business’ :) The experience sounds stressful, but makes me happy to see you such a strong and capable woman!
