I’m in a glass case of emotion…

Filed under: knitting, projects, the office — Jana @ 9:11 am

In the words of Ron Burgundy.  A glass case of emotion…Yeah that is how I felt last night after watching my two favorite show’s season finales.  The office was great, although it definitely didn’t seem like your typical office episode.  Maybe because I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen between Jim and Pam.  Maybe when I watch it again I can enjoy the funny more this time without the suspense. And things look hopeful at least.  I cheered for Pam at the end! Although there wasn’t any smooching, it will have to do.  I can’t wait for next season. The whole summer with no new episodes…ughhhh.  Anyway vote on Jim’s new haircut, thumbs……Down!  He never looked homeless Karen.  Bring back the tousle!the office

And as for grey’s finale  I personally think that show has gone down hill big time in the past few episodes, and this week was one of the worst of them all.  It was like “lets break everyone up and leave everyone miserable…yeah sounds like a great finale”…Syke! Do you like my gratuitous use of the word syke (look, there aren’t that many instances when I get to use it, so I do what I can OK?)  Two season finales on the same night is way too much drama for me all at once.

Anyway I don’t know if Grey’s anatomy was just bad or if I was so disappointed because right as the show was ending I noticed a mistake about 7 rows back in my knitting, and when I tried to go back and fix it I only made it worse, and it I had just finished the first stage of my cardigan.  So that was pretty depressing too.  I fixed it good enough, so it’s fine. (Thank goodness for crochet hooks!)

And speaking of knitting, Me and Lauren went to Hancock’s fabric store yesterday.  All the southern California locations are going out of business, so I got all of this loot for just 12 bucks.

The place was pretty picked over but the stuff that was there was all 60% to 70% off.  So if you need to stock up I would head over soon while the gettin’ is good.  Sadly the yarn stash was almost all gone, pretty much all that was left was fun fur (ugh… fun fur *shudder*)  and a few other novelty yarns. But I did find one cashmere/merino blend so it was worth it.

  1. Seriously, what is wrong with Grey’s? That was the worst finale ever. The whole thing was so depressing. YEAAAH!!! for Jim and Pam, but my favorite part was the end when Ryan told Kelly they were over, and then he glanced over at the camera :) So hilarious! Definately watch it again, its funnier the second time.
P.S. Another thumbs down for Jim’s new cut.

  2. I too was on the edge of my seat during the office. I was hoping for the smooch at the end to, I was quite disappointed. Clint said it would have been stupid if they kissed, but disagree. I can’t wait until next season, its way too far away for me to wait. Thumbs down for Jim’s hair.

  3. One more comment, don’t you think its funny on tv shows when they say they’ve got a hair cut and all they have done is commed (spelling?) it to the side, they did the same thing on Seinfeld when Jerry got that bad hair cut.

  4. ya, the haircut kind of ruined it for me. however, you can take the hair outta the man, but you can’t take the man outta the…oh I don’t know how that expression goes. Anyway. You get the picture. Again, three cheers for Jim and Pam. They better not string us along too much longer or I’m gonna write my own ending!

  5. I agree, I was not happy with Jim’s hair cut either. Maybe he was trying to look more professional for the interview.
I was hoping Jim was gonna run into the room that Pam was in and kiss her. Oh well.
I love that Ryan got the job and his reaction to Kelly!

  7. i wasn’t expecting that ending, ans jim’s hair wasn’t doing it for me, but it was still laugh out loud funny, and an hour! so that was good times. we skipped greys and watched catch and release, the new jennifer gardner “chick flick” and were pleased. sorry about no kissy kissy, maybe next season….

  8. Two big thumbs down for Jim’s hair. Gross. Hair aside, I loved it! I laughed through the whole thing. I heart The Office. Now that the season is over, I feel as empty as Dwight’s black walls/Andy’s soul. I’m going to have to buy the DVD’s so I don’t go through complete withdrawls.

P.S. Boo for the Grey’s finale. It’s been a big let down ever since Izzy slept with George. Weird that Merideth’s half-sis was the chick in the bar and is now an intern. Could there be anymore drama packed into one hour?

  9. I DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! Yeah, I’m a loser and have never watched The Office. My life is consumed by APX.
