Toddlers

Filed under: carmen — Jana @ 6:00 am

Having Carmen to hang out with is a really interesting expirience.  She is always running around, getting into stuff, and having fun. But every now and then she will stop and give me this really serious knowing look… and it’s almost like I get a glimse of her 15 years from now and I can see how she will look all grown up.  Don’t worry though, she then quickly does something that snaps me right back to the present day and life with a toddler.  For example today while I was on the computer, Carmen reached up for the package of ritz crackers I always have handy to distract her so I can finish what I am doing.  I gave her one and then I watched what she did with it.  She didn’t eat it.  She just walked over to the guitar we have sitting up in our computer loft and inserted it into the hole behind the strings.  That got me to thinking. It didn’t look like that was the first time she had ever done something like that, so I picked up the guitar and tipped it over and started shaking it.  Here is what fell out:junk 003

Yep, That’s right.  That would be:

  • One and a half ritz crackers
  • A wheat thin
  • An alphabet puzzle peice…Letter F
  • Our bedroom TV remote
  • and a travel size bottle of neutrogena deep clean scrub.

I guess I found her stash and I will know where to look the next time I can’t find something.

Toddlers…how do they think up this stuff?

  8. It kills me what kids hide. Carmen is so cute. I feel like when I read your blog, I see her grow up. But really, I haven’t seen her in such a long time.
