Sun peeking through

Filed under: random — Jana @ 12:59 pm

Well I finally got all of our doctors visits and trips to the pharmacy done.  And yes it has been 4 days of hell.  But I think I finally am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.  We aren’t feeling great yet, but I was able to put Carmen to bed last night without a binky with out a fight, So YAY!  All my work wasn’t for nothing.  I think she knew that she was getting away with having her binky because we were both so sick.  Kids are a lot more aware than we give them credit for. And she slept in until almost 9 which was amazing!

Plus Chantel saved me last night and brought me dinner which was very sweet!

Although there is one thing that is on my list of Things That Must Go and that is red colored medicines.  They know kids aren’t going to like them, hence they are going to spit them out… So why the freak dont they make them clear or white!  Yeah, lets just say I will have some bleaching of sheets to do when Carmen wakes up from her nap.

Ok Ok, so I promise I won’t post again until I have something nice to say.

  1. I definately sympathize with you. Our Father’s Day was eventful too. As for the medicine – they make most of them in a strip that disolves on your tongue. Seriously the best invention ever!

  2. Chantel. you’re so Sweet! Not having to cook after 4 days of hell had to feel so nice. Oh, and I love the dye free medicine. You have enough to worry about without the stains.

  3. what did u guys have? i feel bad for you, having a sick kid on top of not feeling well yourself, there is nothing worse. and the red medicine thing… when we moved out of our last house i scrubbed so much red goo of the walls, for a while i didn’t know what it was then i smelled it, and sure enough it was baby tylenol!

  4. Seriously, I totally know what you mean with the stupid dye they put in everything. It’s not good for kids anyway.
Well, I am glad you are feeling better and Carmen has relinquished her binkie. Hopefully it is smooth-sailing from here on.
