Adventures in toddler travels…part 1

Filed under: carmen, family, mess of the day — Jana @ 9:04 am

We finally got back from Utah yesterday and there’s nothing like walking into your own house after you’ve been away for 10 days or so. Carmen was so stoked to be home she was running around going crazy, trying to pet tiger and find all of her toys and so on. Then not 5 minutes after we pulled in Carl pulled up with the kids and Carmen was so happy she gave Crew and Jax 2 hugs each and when (we made) Crew hug her back she was ecstatic. It was really adorable. Chantel showed up a few minutes later and they brought us chocolate cake with white icing and it was a very warm welcome home. Thanks you guys for looking after tiger for us.

I have a ton of pictures of our trip but they will have to come out in a few posts because there is so much to tell.

Traveling with a toddler is always interesting. On the road trip up I gave Carmen a kit kat, thinking she would just shove the whole thing in her mouth like she does with everything else I give her to eat. I looked back a few minutes later and she had managed to paint her full body and hair with the melted chocolate. Here is a picture of her a few seconds after her in-car wet wipe bath.

If only I had thought to take a picture before I cleaned her off.
