Thank you.

I have the most amazing husband in the world. I don’t like to brag, but seriously I couldn’t ask for a better man. He has taken care of me from the moment I found out about the bad news. He has really tried to keep us as busy as he could to keep my mind off it. He took me to buy a new purse, since my old one had broken and was ruining all my shirts. I found a cute bag right away. Then the next day he took me and Carmen to get out of the house and we went to Disneyland. We had fun taking Carmen on all the rides.

I got my surgery on Friday night. I am still recovering because I lost about 2 liters of blood. I still feel pretty weak, But my husband has been keeping my fully supplied with mommy cocktails and fresh French bread… Which seem to be the only thing I have wanted to eat. If you have had a baby and your nurse didn’t make you a mommy cocktail you are missing out…I love them. All it is is orange, apple, and cranberry juice, mixed with sprite.

My mom is coming into town tonight to help with Carmen while Lee is out of town this week… So I am grateful for that.

I just want to thank everyone for letting us know how much you care. It has meant so much to our family. I know I haven’t really talked to anyone, but I have gotten all the flowers and messages of love… so thank you.

And just so no one worries, I am doing fine. This experience has brought our family closer and made us realize how much we are cared for…which has been really amazing. We are so blessed.

*sorry if this post isn’t very coherent , I have been on a lot of prescription meds for the past few days.

  1. I am so glad to hear that you are doing well…as well as can be expected. And that your husband is treating you like the princess you are. I am very interested in making one of these mommy cocktails. I think I have gotten ripped off, they sound delicious!

  5. Jana, Wow!! My brother does ROCK!!! I’d definetly say he’s up for husband of the year award. Glad to hear that he’s treating you like a queen. It’s always nice to be pampered. You deserve it. I thought you were having the surgery on Tuesday, glad to hear they were able to do it sooner. Sounds like things went really well. I’m so glad your Mom is coming to help out. That will be nice to have her there. We sure love you guys!!

  7. I’m glad Lee has taken good care of you. It is definitely something, though hard, that brings you closer to each other. I remember when I miss carried, Clint was also great and I really believed it helped strenghen our marraige.

  8. You will have to post pictures of this new bag – it sounds like it is a good one. And, on the mommy coctails – I thought it might have something to do with prescriptions meds or morphine or something. I remember when I had a push button morphine (those were the days…). But really, your mommy coctail sounds awesome. I think I got jipped!

  9. Totally spelled cocktail wrong – and didn’t realize it until I reread. I really have to proofread these things. It isn’t my day…

  10. I’m so glad you are doing ok! Everytime I think about you my eyes well up. I feel sad and awkward that we won’t be having babies together, but I feel better hearing you be so possitive. I think you’re truely amazing, and I love your guts!

  11. Hey, don’t think for a second that Carmen was a challenge to watch. She really is a sweetheart and I love her like she’s my own. It was only chaotic for about an hour (and it was at the park) and I’d still do it all over again for my friends. Any time you need someone to watch Carmen, I’m here!!
