Life

Filed under: carmen, family, friends — Jana @ 5:11 pm

Yesterday instead of having our usual park day, a bunch of my friends and I took our kids to Disney Land. (most of us have season passes, We are all spoiled, I know)

It was so fun. It wasn’t a busy day. We hardly had to wait in lines at all, and we got to go on tons of rides. Most of which were kiddie rides, but it was still fun to see how much fun they were having.

Carmen was terrified of mickey and all of the other life size fuzzy characters, for that matter. When dale tried to touch her, by the look on her face, you would have thought he had a knife. Which was sad because pretty much all of them were playing a giant game of duck duck goose, and Carmen would have nothing to do with it. I have never seen them do that before but it was so awesome. I would have loved it as a kid. Maybe when she’s older.

Carmen was stoked to be on her very favorite ride… The carousel!

Then of course as fate would have it, Carmen woke up today with the flu. Here is my poor little Carmie.

Yeah, I guess you can’t have something for nothing… If you’re going to have an entire day of fun, you have to have an entire day of throwing up too, right?

Anyone else’s kids throwing up today?

Luckily most of the cookie tossing has been in relatively easy to clean areas of my house… But still, I mean come on. (And of course you know, by saying that, it means the next time she throws up will be somewhere disastrous…KNOCK ON WOOD)

Anyway I sure hope it is just a 24 hour thing because in two days we will be on a 5 hour flight to Hawaii. I will be really sad if Carmen is still sick.

  2. First of all I was jealous because you can just go to Disney Land for the day like it is no big deal. But then you have to go and add that you are off to Hawaii!!! I do not think that I like you :) Have fun and I hope that Carmen feels better. It is no fun to fly with a sick kid

  3. Durrr… when I emailed you I forgot you were going to be in HAWAII!! I must’ve been trying to shield myself from the jealousy.

  5. Get better soon Carmen! Bummer. How fun to go to disneyland, though?! I would take being able to just go to a park at this point. Jack Frost needs to move on. I’m ready for summer!!

  6. Bummer about Carmen, no throwing up at our house….yet. To my suprise Ryan totally loved all the creepy characters the other day including Micky. Have a great trip and we’ll have to do Disneyland again when you get back.

  7. I hope she gets better before you leave. That would not be a fun flight if she was still throwing up. Poor thing. Have fun in Hawaii.

  8. Have a BLAST in Hawaii. Wish we were going. I’m ready for a vacation!!! Can’t be that we’ve had tons of snow that won’t go away! It’s a love hate relationship. Love it when it comes, but hate it when it won’t go away. Enjoy the tropics for me.
