So back about a year ago when we bought our couches, I said to Lee that the only way I would buy them is if he would refinish the wooden feet to match the rest of the wood in our house. Well flash back to now and they were still the orangy wood they started as because he said once we got them in the house the color didn’t bug him so much.

Well, it still bugged me, so even though I have absolutely no former knowledge of refinishing wood, I set out to do it myself.

I was surprised at how much work it actually was, all the unscrewing, sanding, staining, finishing, moving furniture, and screwing them back in(I think Eve’s head may have just exploded from that last sentence). But I am really proud of myself for doing the whole thing… I didn’t get it all right the first time, but I made it work and now I am happy with the finished product.

I am so glad that I never have to look at those orange feet again.

  8. I can’t believe how much better they look. At first I didn’t think the “orange” color was that bad, but when you compare that with the finished product, they look so much better. I am impressed.
