Etsy shop name contest

Filed under: crafts, friends, knitting, me — Jana @ 7:26 pm

So after my last posting about the stuff I wanted to sell at the farmer’s market, I have decided to bag the whole farmers market idea (I am scared of the face-to-face rejection). Since I got such a great response to my knits, Instead I am going to open an Etsy shop. Rejection via internet is a little less painful :).

My problem is that I need a name for my shop… Here is where you all come in. To solve my dilemma I am doing a contest for the best Etsy shop name. The winner (chosen by me… how ever I want) will get a free small knit item of your choice (to get an idea of the things I do, go to the previous post). By small I mean like a beanie or baby cozy…

something that takes about 1 skein of yarn to knit… No, I will not knit you a blanket or a sweater :). Anyone can enter as many times as you want, just leave them in the comments section. I am looking for a fun, creative name that has some “me” in it, that hasn’t already been taken by any other Etsy users (and by the way Jana Banana was already taken…3 different ways, so don’t bother with that one).

I will keep everyone posted as to when I will have the shop up and running, most likely as soon as I find a good name.

OK Go!

So I have gotten a ton of great entries, however as much as replacing the Sh** with knit in those well known phrases makes me laugh… Most of those have been taken by Etsy members already. I am also thinking of selling a few other baby items besides knits, so I am trying not to pigeonhole myself. I will probably announce the winner tomorrow so get those last minute entries in fast!

  1. Ok Jana – I have a couple of entries for you: (bare in mind that I don’t shop Etsy and don’t really know what typical shop names are…) But I thought some of these definitely sounded like you, and they made me smile.
