Thanks for the help

Filed under: knitting, me — Jana @ 9:30 am

I am in a serious dilemma because the licorice yarn that I make baby cozies and beanies out of is being discontinued! I fell in love with it a while ago and have not been able to find more! It seriously bums me out because it is the most popular yarn in my shop!

The girl on Jo-ann customer service line told me that the only yarn left are the ones already in stores… so this is where you all come in.

If any of you ever go to Jo-ann craft store (this yarn is a Jo-ann exclusive) Would you please look in the yarn section to see if this yarn is there for me, and if they have it buy them all! I will pay you back and anyone who does this for me will get a free hand knit/crocheted barrette of your choice (or if you don’t want a barrette I would be willing to work out another deal with you).

The yarn is called: Sensations Licorice yarn and the colorway is neutrals. # 8142176 (it’s this one pictured above with the browns, blues, and oranges).

If you do this for me I’ll be your best friend! (or really just a really good acquaintance :) )

If you find some, just leave me a comment and I will email you my address, and send you a check!

Thanks Dudes!

Oh and just to clarify it is only this color that I cant find, for some reason they are making some of the other colors still, but of course my favorite is the one that’s no longer available.

*Update* Thanks for all of your help finding me the licorice yarn… I know a lot of you looked for me and I really appreciate it!  Lee’s totally awesome family really came through for me, his youngest 3 siblings went the extra mile and found me a ton of that beautiful yarn, so there will be plenty of baby cozies and beanies in my shop in the future.  I think I have enough to last me quite a while… So you can end the hunt, I will let you know in the future if I need another search!  Thanks again everybody… I guess it’s really true, you never know what you can get until you ask!

  1. Hi Jana. I’ve never left a comment but enjoy checking your blog every now and again and seeing the darling stuff you knit. I actually went to Ricks with Lee (tell him Val Sandberg says Hi). I would love to pick up that yarn for you. I will let you know what I find at my JoAnns. Keep up the great work. I just love your stuff, especially that knitted bag!! So cute. Love the beanies too. Oh and hand warmers…

  4. Hi Jana, I don’t usually go to Joann’s due to the fact that I’m not artsy fartsy like you. But if I see the yarn, I’ll most definitely pick it up. Also, thanks for the Jemima J referral. I just read it and really liked it! Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

  16. Jana, I’ve found two rolls of that yarn and possible a bunch more I just need to know how many you actually want and the store will ship it directly to your house. It is 5.99 per roll.
I don’t have your current cell number so call me.

  17. I don’t know if you got my text message last week, but I special ordered 10 rolls of the nuetral licorice yarn and it will be in my store hopefully by next week. Then I can send it straight to you. If you need more, I can order more.
