Big Bad Babys

Filed under: family, knitting — Jana @ 3:19 pm

Since EVERYONE is pregnant right now, I had to knit up a bunch of baby blankets. These three are for my sisters-in-law. I actually knit these a while ago, but I had to wait to post until the girls all had their blankets (I’m not sure that Bethany has hers yet, but she will soon, and she knows about it already so… I cant wait any longer)

This natural sienna one is for Melinda, Lee’s sister. It is stripes of pinks, grays, and tans.

This baroque one is for Jenny, Lee’s brother Bryant’s wife.

And this light green one is for Bethany, Lee’s youngest brother Morgan’s wife.

I added some hot pink flowers to make it a little more girly.

(sorry for the bad pics, knitting is my calling, definitely not photography)

With 7 siblings, Lee’s family keeps me pretty busy in the knitting department.

  1. All of them are dang cute, but I have to say I like mine best. :) The yellowy tans with the pinks and bits of grey/purple remind me of a sunset. I LOVE it! Thank you, Thank you!!!

  3. I like how you added the little flowers to the green one. It’s a cute contrast. I also this that new grey-purple one is different—in a good way–I also loved getting purple stuff for Allison instead of pink coming out my ears….I’m sure they’ll love them!

  4. Jana, YOU ROCK!! I can’t believe how much you do. You are amazing. I think all the baby blankets are so darling. I have loved mine too. Something about HOMEMADE makes it even more special. You couldn’t have chosen any better on the color/style for Melinda, Jenny & Bethany. I think each blanket fits them perfectly.

  6. You are a machine! I love them all and I am very impressed you lumped them together into one post. That’s how much of a machine you really are.

  8. Those looks so warm and cozy, perfect for little baby girls. I keep thinking that I should pick up knitting but I never do. You knit so beautifully.

  9. I don’t care what they all say, I love mine the most!! Hee hee…You could not have picked a cooler yarn, made it any more beautiful, or made me love it any more than I do. It is a perfect match in the girls’ room and I am so excited to wrap baby Maren in it!
Thanks Jana for being so thoughtful. Love you!
