the christmas post

Filed under: me — Jana @ 8:20 pm

I have been meaning to post a bunch of different pictures throughout the past few weeks, but I got too busy and now I am just going to put them all in one big Christmas post.  If you  hate typical holiday posts, stop reading now.

I was excited to knit Carmen and the new baby some stockings this year, since when Lee and I bought ours we didn’t think to buy any for the twinkles in our eyes, but I kind of like that they are all different now.

We also took Carmen to look at the Christmas lights, which she loved.

And me and Carmie made some cookies for Santa, just for good measure.

We had a great Christmas spent with just the three of us.  It was kind of a bummer not to be around a bunch of family, since it was one of those years that traveling just wouldn’t work, but it was nice to have a mellow Christmas with just our little family.

  1. Super cute stockings, Jana! I loved the knit stockings we had growing up. Your’s turned out so darling. We had a mellow Christmas too. This is the first year in a long time that we haven’t had family around, but it was really nice. We just enjoyed being with our own family and the day was so nice and relaxed! We missed seeing you guys at the reunion.

  4. We sure missed you at the reunion, it wasn’t the same without you and your family there. Merry Christmas… your stockings are really really cute. Morgan wanted me to try and knit something along those lines, but since I don’t know how to knit, I decided that I would try something a little different. It was fun though to have a little Christmas project.

  5. Sweet stockings! I always loved the one my grandmother knit me too. I’m making some out of old jeans for my family. Notice I said “making” as in they were soooo not finished in time for Christmas. Oh well, Santa didn’t mind. Glad you had a good Christmas!

  7. Those stockings are great! You have some serious talent there! I am hoping to magically find some cute ones for the girls next year. I didn’t really see any this year :( oh well!

So have you guys picked a name out yet for little Lee Jr?
