We decided to make a last minute trip up to Utah to see family for a few days.

It was really fun.  The kids did great in the car, only minor meltdowns.  We had a dance party jamming to some boom boom pow (this was not your parent’s road trip).  Plus it was just fun being in the car for 12 uninterrupted hours with Lee, I tried to get him to let me read Twilight to him while he drove…He wasn’t too into it, but I think I am wearing him down.

I had an awesome few days shopping and doing all things girly with my mom and sister.  Lee and I got to eat dinner with his sister Gwen and her husband Lawrence. I was able to chill with all my high school girlies, which was a lot of fun catching up (I missed the few of you who couldn’t come)!

I got to eat at a bunch of my favorite restaurants while there, and even added a few to the already long list.  Papa Kelsey’s is this little sandwich joint that has the most amazing cheese bread.  And JCW’s has some freaking delicious hamburgers and chicken wings.  So if you could just bring those to California people, that would be great.  Those along with  cafe rio, wingers, bajio, taco amigo, teppanyaki, and betos…  Then I will be happy, and about 400lbs.  We weren’t able to go to all of them while we were there, but I got fry sauce, so I feel satisfied with the trip.

Here is the only picture I managed to take while there… I know, I’m lame.  At least it was cute,  Moseley chillin’ with Uncle Law and cousin Cooper.

We were going to go to the super brunch at little america (yep that’s right, more food)  sunday before leaving but we awoke to Carmen barfing, so we decided our Utah experience was over, and headed home.  Luckily there was no more chunkage on the road, she just waited a day to continue having the flu… just to fake me out.  Luckily she is finally old enough to run to the toilet on her own now, so YAY for the new mile stone.  My poor Carmie, I sure hope it’s over soon.

Yesterday I decided that Moseley had rocked the old man hair for long enough and gave him his first hair cut.

I just got out the clippers and buzzed it all off.  Now he looks like a little soldier or something.  You cant really tell in the picture but he has blonde hair growing on top of his head finally.  I think he looks dashing.

I took him to the doctor today to get his shots… He was so tough, he only cried for about 2 seconds while they were poking him and then he was fine.

They measured and weighed him and he has grown a ton.  He is 25 1/4 inches tall and weighs in at a hefty 14lbs 13oz.

Here he is in all his rollie pollie glory.

I am getting sad that it is going too fast, I know every one says it… but really, I need more time with my tiny baby, I cant get enough of him.

  3. Dang…I’m so sorry I missed you! So much going on here that I couldn’t come any earlier. Hopefully we can get a trip planned this summer to come visit you. I need to see cute little Mose.

  4. Holy Big! he IS twice the size of LJ… well practically. She is only 10 pounds and some change and like 22.5 inches or something. I’m glad you and Chantel have created such strapping young boys to look after my girl. :)

  8. It really was great seeing you. Sorry to hear that Carmie was sick – it seems to be the trend right now. Mose is adorable. Take care and tell Lee I said “hi”.

  11. There’s a Papa Kelsey’s in Twin Falls. It’s the original store and I have to go there every time I’m home, if at all possible. I worked there growing up, so I have major cravings for it. Sooooo good.
You’ve given me some courage to maybe get rid of Cooper’s old man haircut too. He could really use some help. Maybe I’ll do that this weekend.
We loved seeing you guys. Moseley is absolutely adorable and you, dear Jana, are looking absolutely FABULOUS! You skinny on down real fast. I wish I did. Slowly, but surely. That seems to be how it works for me. Love you guys.

  14. Oh my gosh I can’t believe how cute Moseley is, I can’t believe I haven’t even met the little guy. I’m pretty sure we’re going to try and come to his blessing.

  15. I almost cried when I saw those pictures! We haven’t even seen him yet and he is already getting a hair cut! One more week!!!

  16. His little armpit is funny. What a chub! I am jealous of all the food you got to eat, it sounds delicious! That’s like one of the best parts about traveling, I mean of course the people you get to see but getting to eat out a whole bunch too!

So Mose is like 4 pounds bigger than Nola! Nola is about 2 pounds less than Lucy was at her age, she is just a tiny girl. Its nice though because like you said, they don’t stay tiny for long. I look at Lucy and am just like WOW how did she get to be so big so fast?! I’m sure you do the same with Carmen, its incredible how quickly they grow and change!

  17. Seriously what a cute chunk! I love his enormous round belly and the fact that even his arms have rolls! So adorable. I like his haircut. I am wondering what to do with Violet because she has the old man toilet bowl thing going on too. It’s harder taking the clippers to a little girls head you know? What to do?
