random crap

On my last post about Utah, I said that I only took one picture the whole time… Well I found a couple more that I took with my phone.  Since I live my life in a half conscious stupor I forgot about them until now.

Carmen and my mom doing yoga…

My mom will probably be ticked at me for secretly taking pictures of her during her workout… but seeing Carmen in her little underpanties doing  yoga with grandma was just about the most awesome thing ever.

On to another topic, last week I saw a lizard in our garage.  I decided that the thought of having a dead lizard in my garage was worse than having to catch said lizard so I got out a jar…

IMG_0284I caught it.  It actually had a really pretty belly with the turquoise blue stipes.  I thought Carmen would think it was cool, so I showed it to her.  She did not dig it.  So I asked her if we should let it go in our back yard,  she thought that was a good idea until I tipped the jar and she started climbing up my body to get away from it.  So I walked further away into the grass and let him go.  I forgot to factor tiger into the equation and he immediately started barking and chasing it… which made it run right at me.  I had wide bottom pants on and I was sure that it had run up my pant leg.  I started shrieking and jumping up and down.  I was about to drop trou and book, when I noticed tiger was still chasing something.  Phew.  Lizard not in my pants.  Anyway I got him safely into the bushes and no animals were harmed in the making of this post.

Last week I got a package in the mail from my sister for Moseley.  It was this sweet onsie.IMG_0281

It is awesome.

IMG_0274I thought this picture was so cute of Moseley enamored with his big sister.

and last but not least here are the ugg boots I knitted for my sister’s baby due in September.  Modeled by my boy.

  2. Lots going on here.

The yoga in panties is making me smile. I like her style…less restrictive, more freedom to move and achieve oneness with the universe.

Funny to finally put a face to your peeping tom lizard. All Californians should be on the lookout.

And finally, nothing beats that onesie…except maybe beets themselves.

  4. Love the uggs and the onesie (too bad Wren has outgrown her matching pink one – we could’ve done twinsie pics).

I think I might start working out in my undies – it would be a lot cooler!

  5. OK-Loving the little boots! You can knit anything! Did I tell you my young women (beehives) had an activity where they taught me how to knit and I am slowly but surely knitting a very ugly scarf. I think I better wait a few projects before I try UGGHS!
PS: That lizard story was the best!!! Highly entertaining!

  10. Those uggs are stinkin’ amazing! I don’t know how long they took you but you should definitely sell those on Etsy. They would go like hot cakes I am sure of it. Anyway, I love all the cute pictures. That onsie would make Michael laugh like a crazy man. He is currently re-watching all of the previous Office episodes late at night and I hear him giggling in the other room constantly. Carmen sure does have a cute little bum, maybe she’ll be a real yogi someday! :)

  12. I know that this is almost unrelated, but all I could think of when you were telling your lizard story is pulling Woody’s string on Toy Story and hearing “I’ve Got a Snake in my Boot” (with a few modifications)! BTW – such a cute shirt and UGGS. :)
